WHAT IS THE FORMAT?

This is an informative, interactive and practical workshop, with significant information presented in an easy-to-learn and interesting way.

You'll be given the opportunity to try out several emotionally intelligent strategies for yourself, to participate in exercises to increase your emotional intelligence, and to join in a group task to develop skills in predicting the emotions of others.

You will also receive a seven-step emotionally intelligent decision making worksheet to use at work, along with key handouts unique to The Emotional Intelligence Institute. There will be plenty of opportunities for self-reflection and self-discovery.

It will be high energy and light-hearted, with ample time for questions, and there will even be prizes to be won. It will not be boring!

MEET YOUR PRESENTER:

Rachel Green

Rachel Green, award-winning Emotional Intelligence and Engagement Specialist and Director of The Emotional Intelligence Institute, has a unique blend of qualifications in psychology, adult education, the Feldenkrais method and speech pathology.

She has been personally trained by Dr. Ben Palmer, the key researcher responsible for developing the Australian Genos EI model; and by Dr. David Caruso, the author of "The Emotionally Intelligent Manager" and the MSCEIT. She is the author of two audio-downloads on Emotional Intelligence and a DVD set and e-book, "How to develop emotional resilience and manage your emotions".

Unlike others working in the area, she will speak from a long-term personal experience of understanding and managing her own emotions and the emotions of others, and couple this with relevant and up-to-date theory. She has gained this experience across a variety of different work situations, having worked in health care, academia, the media, the not-for-profit sector, and in business. She has also developed and applied her EI skills as a voluntary counsellor on a 24 hour crisis line, by sitting on committees, by coaching executive clients, and by running a community group. She is passionate about emotional intelligence in herself and others!

She has presented this workshop twice a year for five years to staff at Fremantle Hospital and it is still packed with people! She has also presented on emotional intelligence for many other eminent organisations, including Landcorp, RealMark Real Estate, City of Swan, GHD Australia, Disability Services Commission, Institute of Hospital Engineers, Chevron Australia, Eastern Goldfields College, Water Corporation, The Investors Club, Gold Fields Australasia, St John's Ambulance, Murdoch University, Polytechnic West, WA Country Health Services (Broome), Boab Health Services, Strata Titles Institute of Western Australia, WestOne Services, Shire of Busselton, Canning Vale College, Catholic Education, CEO Institute, ACTIV, Department of Commerce, and more.

She is an engaging, warm speaker with a great sense of humour. She promises not to be boring!
